TPC-W Transactions (Cont’d)
The TPC-W transaction set includes (Cont’d):
- 2) Shopping Cart: This transaction updates the customer's shopping basket and reflects the total basket price at this store front. It represents a medium-weight, read-write transaction with a high frequency of execution and stringent response time requirements to satisfy on-line users. Quantity of an item can also be changed.
- 3) Buy: This transaction finalizes the selection of items in the shopping basket and commits a customer order in the database. It represents a mid-weight read-write database transaction with a low frequency of execution and fast response time requirement to satisfy on-line users. SSL version 3.0 or later will be used.
