The Goal of the TPC-W Workload
The goal of the TPC-W workload is to measure the key performance functions of a Web business server; i.e., those functions that are the most common and those that exercise the most system resources. Consequently, not every function of a business web server is included or measured
- The “application” portrayed by the benchmark is a customer browse and buy scenario. Customers visit a company web site to look at products, find information, or place an order, or request the status of an existing order.
